Geneva P. Carter was born to the late Evelina Anderson Capers and Wilson B. Capers on June 23, 1955 in Paterson, New Jersey.
She received her formal education in the public-school system of Paterson New Jersey. In 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, Ricardo A. Carter, Sr. She was a devoted member of Unity Missionary Church of Paterson, NJ and sang in the choir.
She was first employed for over 20 years in the business office of Sears Roebuck Co. as a key-punch data entry operator. She advanced forward in her career dedicating another 20 years in the healthcare and business services industry as Manager, Data Entry at Eltman, Eltman and Cooper, PC Law Firm (EE&C). After transitioning from EE&C, she moved on as a Litigation and Subrogation Associate at CBC National.
Later in her professional career, she continued her education earning a Certification in Medical Billing and Coding at the CDM Technical Institute of Wayne, New Jersey.
She embarked in the senior healthcare network working in Accounts Payable for Wayne View Care Center and finally Clark Rehabilitation and Senior Care Center.
On the morning of April 19, 2020, the Lord called Geneva Carter home to glory.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelina Anderson Capers, father, Wilson B. Capers, and eldest brother, John E. Anderson.

Carter, Jr of Paterson, NJ; One sister, Syneita Capers and one brother, Willie J. Capers both of Paterson, NJ; Adopted sister, Jean Montgomery of Sumter, SC, adopted sister Maribel Diaz of Union, NJ;
Her beloved grandchildren, “Angels” Victoria Evelina and Maurice Charles III;
One great-aunt, Annabell Anderson of Philadelphia, PA;
Sister-in-law Shirley Nealy of Paterson, NJ, Sister-in-law, Ludella Anderson of Paterson, NJ, Sister in-law Patricia Alexander and Brother-in-law Dr. Alfredo Alexander both of Philadelphia, PA.
Four nieces, Lin Wade (John Wade) of West Orange, NJ, Caleen Anderson of Newark, NJ, Felicia Garrett (Larry Garrett) of Paterson, NJ, Abbie Alexander-Allen (Joshua Allen) of Philadelphia, PA; three nephew, William R. Capers of Paterson, NJ, Marcus Alexander, Sr (Myriam Alexander) John E. Anderson, Jr. of Newark, NJ. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
